A relatively modest trip to the lesser side of the rockys has slowly but steadily grown into a pretty big diplomatic mission to spread the SLCFUG love.

Any messages I should take with me to the Denver CFUG? Anything you would like to know from how the other half (of the mountains) codes? Any CF shops there I should make a point to try and see?

I'd be curious to know what kind of framework adoption/distribution they have and how it compares to ours. Across MVC, DI, ORM and Javascript.

Perfect - I was hoping to whip up a simple sms style polling app to demo along with the code for the 3rd version of my CF/mobile apps talk. I'll plan on pre-loading it with those questions to demonstrate it working and I'll have some good info to bring back with me.

Very nice!

I remember that mobile talk you gave was one of my favorite ever. Do you think it's evolved enough in the last X months since you gave it that it'd be worth giving again?

At a glance it looked like Max 2010 / the future of the world is going to be super heavy on mobile, and I think it's something that's going to have to be confronted by an increasing number of desktop developers like us lot.

Totally. I'm pretty much tore down the 2.0 version given to the NUCFUG to the bare girders and am rebuilding from scratch. It's not just that the entire mobile scene has radically changed in the last year (Palm sold to HP, Apple/Adobe fracas, Android OS everywhere, Flash 10.1 [and more importantly, AIR 2]). Most cases there are entirely new 3rd party service providers for sms, voice, and more (anyone use sip or INum Voice #'s?) so I've got a bag full of new tricks to show off [plus, I'm trying to put a bug in the OpenBD crew that if they can put OpenBD on Google App Engine because its just Java, then they should be able to get it to work on Android devices too).

Let me know. A good slide deck is a terrible thing to waste.

That sounds industrial-grade dope! So much intoxicatingly fresh and relevant content.

Can we mark you up for Wednesday, October 13th? And can you flip me an email with a quick outline or summary so I can post an announcement and get folks salivating?

I want this preso right now. But unfortunately we're all booked up until Oct. Beshrew this anti-procrastination kick I'm on!

Thanks Matt. And crazy AndroidBD idea! I would switch to Android for that in a heartbeat.
