I've loved developing applications in AIR. I was downright giddy when it was shown how easy it was to extend existing AIR applications onto an Android phone. And now AIR apps are shown running on iPad, the tech shiny object of the moment. Hot damn.
Check it out - AIR apps running on Windows, Linux, Android, Mac, iPhone, and... iPad. I <3 AIR. :D Matthew Reinbold Creative Principal, Vox Pop Design, http://voxpopdesign.c... |

Ugh. Writing this from an iPad. I had most of a pretty long response to this written, did a quick switch to the app store to check something, then switched back and my whole response was gone. It looks like it reloads the page you were on from scrqtch instead of leaving the browser running in the background. Yikes.
Anyway, in a nutshell, I would be a lt more excited about Air on the iPad if it weren't such a terrible, buggy, tedious device. But besides the fact that it feels like an elephant in your hands ( weighs more than a million pounds ), most of my complaints are software based. So maybe it'll get better with updates. And maybe Obama can pass legislation that requires all mobile devices to support Flash. |
